About Mullach Records

Mullach Records was founded in 2020 by Alex Thomas Crawford and Cameron Rankin as Summit Records, later changing the name to the Gàidhlig word for summit, Mullach. The new name was selected by Alex who is a Gàidhlig speaker. The first release under the Mullach Records label was Alex Thomas Crawford’s ‘Handwritten’ (Released under the name Summit Records) and since then, Alex, Cameron and The Hikers have released music under the label, despite it not being marked on the albums. The word Mullach is a nod to the Scottish heritage of the label and its founders.
